So a group (two or more) of pro-Hamas anarchists calling itself the the "Rachel Corrie Ghost Brigade" set fire to a bunch of Portland police cars last week (no surprise there: burning police cars has been fashionable in Portland since the late 1990s). No surprise it calls itself a brigade either. It's a deception to make it seem to have larger numbers than it really has.
But who is Rachel Corrie? A dead pro-Hamas activist and a live Hamas propaganda tool. Apparently she was no great thinker, as this word salad reveals:
She lost her life activist-ing in Gaza in 2023, supposedly by trying to stop an Israeli bulldozer from tearing down a building. This made her a Hamas martyr and the press slobbered over her ever since, even presenting her image as an innocent little girl instead of a deluded, radicalized Evergreen College grad from Olympia, Washington.
What caused her death? You won't find the truth easily among the media's fawning reports or (inexplicably) in the biography section of the Internet Movie Database (imdb), which reveals a clear prejudice against Israel:
"Occupied territories"? The only people "occupying" Gaza are the radicalized, formerly Jordanian Arabs who declared themselves "Palestinians" and whom the rest of the Arab world refuses to take in.
Jim Hoft has a much clearer take on Corrie:
Protecting a weapons tunnel. What a moving bit of non-violent activism.
