Washington, DC -- Donald Trump hasn't even been President for one day and he is already sowing the seeds of division.  It was confirmed today that one of his first acts after being sworn in was to pardon nearly 1,500 hardened criminals and terrorists from the January 6 'coup-lite' that very nearly, kind of, in a manner of thinking, if you look at it just the right way - overthrew the US government.

Noted legal scholar Jeffrey Poindexter published a lengthy post on X about the releases, writing "We are talking about hundreds of people that should not be let loose.  These criminals - well, for legal reasons I must state many haven't been convicted since their trials have taken an unusually long time while they've been held in solitary confinement without bond - committed heinous acts."

He continued, "Things like going in the capital building after being motioned in by police, pushing barricades and shouting, sitting in the chairs of elected officials without a license, and much, much more.  There were multiple cases of people going into storage closets that were clearly marked 'Authorized Personnel Only.'  These seditious conspiritators just walked right into those unauthorized areas.  We have strong evidence some of them moved official US mop buckets while in there."

"The Department of Justice has spent years and millions of dollars tracking these people down and bringing them to justice.  Trump is just putting them back on the street to commit more crimes."
